The Situation: Our client was the franchisor of national cleaning business who was having difficulties with a franchisee in regards to the payment of tax invoices, resulting in the breach of the franchise agreement. Despite having met their contractual obligations to the franchisee, the franchisee would not engage with our client to resolve the issue.
After having exhausted all other options to recover the monies, our client provided extensive records of job notes, tax invoices and communications between our client and the franchisor regarding the tax invoices. In order to recover the monies and address the breach of franchise agreement, we reviewed all documentation and prepared a letter of demand.
The Result: Our client was armed with the right information at the right time, allowing our client to seriously consider entering into the franchise agreement within a short time-frame.
