Matthew is an Associate in Quinn & Scattini Lawyers’ Commercial Litigation Team.

With over 10 years’ experience successfully representing individuals and businesses with commercial litigation cases, commercial law advice, strata law issues and property law problems, Matthew’s passion is resolving contentious commercial litigation cases, for both plaintiffs and defendants.

Matthew provides legal advice, tailored to his client’s individual situation, across all types of disputes. This includes commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, body corporate disputes, business disputes, contract disputes, creditor petitions, debt recovery, defamation, default judgements, employment law, franchise disputes, insurance disputes, lease disputes, planning and environmental disputes, professional negligence and shareholder disputes.

Matthew confidently takes charge of his clients’ cases and communicates effectively to ensure his clients understand the strategies being implemented, stress levels are reduced and there is a level of certainty on how the case will proceed, at all times.

Where possible, Matthew works to resolve disputes utilising his strong negotiation skills. From preparing letters of demand and statutory demands through to representing clients in mediation proceedings and without prejudice conferences, Matthew has experience required to negotiate outcomes and settlements that obtain the desired result.

When court is unavoidable, Matthew has considerable experience representing clients in the Office of Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management, Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Federal Court of Australia, Supreme Court of Queensland, District Court of Queensland, Magistrates Court of Queensland and New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

When required, Matthew works effectively with relevant stakeholders, such as barristers, accountants and financial advisers, to ensure all information is obtained and provided, and there are no delays with the progression of his client’s case.
